OUR STORY

StandUP! For Change began as a small neighborhood improvement group of residents dissatisfied with the state of inner city communities.

Focused on making a difference, the resolute residents focused on providing for the direct needs of their fellow community members; devoting their endeavors toward the homeless and chronically impoverished neighborhoods.

As volunteers continuously addressed the immediate needs of the marginalized, the ever-increasing call resounded. This realization acted as an impetus to formally establish StandUP! For Change as a non-profit organization in 2012 and receive tax-exempt status from the IRS.

The work has been consistent and we remain persistent in our endeavors to break down systemic barriers to achieve lasting change.
